Dear Residents:

Please see the on line article in today’s Record entitled: “After 20 months, Englewood’s ice rink hold “soft reopening” with free skating

I am delighted that dozens came out today to skate at the soft reopening of the skating arena at the John T. Wright Arena, and for all of the positive comments and show of enthusiasm. This was indeed an exciting and fun filled day both for the children as well as the adults.

Stay tuned for more to come.

Dear Residents:

Please see link under bergen.com which gives highlights of our fourth annual Tree Lighting ceremony.

I am delighted that so many of our residents came out to attend this festive event. The tree lighting ceremony is not only a celebration of Christmas, but offers an opportunity to bring our community together during the holidays. The performances by Chavez Ravine, Mark Trautman and the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s Children’s Choir, as well as bergenPAC’s Performing Arts School Voices which was directed by Hannah Faye Zarate were superb. One of the highlights of the evening was Santa arriving on the fire truck. I was also pleased that bergenPAC again joined the City in donating 180+ tickets to school to Englewood children to see the Nutcracker.

Mayor Frank Huttle III

Dear Residents,

On Sunday, December 8th, 2013 at 6:15pm, please join me and the City Council as we present the 4th annual lighting of the Englewood City Christmas Tree. The ceremony will take place outside City Hall at 6:15pm in front of the City’s Official Christmas Tree immediately following a special performance of the New Jersey Ballet’s Nutcracker at bergenPAC. I am once again pleased bergenPAC joins the city holiday spirit by joining us in donating tickets to Englewood school children so they may attend the Nutcracker performance that precedes the tree lighting ceremony. The Nutcracker performance will begin at bergenPAC at 4:00pm. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will provide a festive conclusion to the day’s holiday events. It will feature performances by Mark A. Trautman and the St. Paul’s Children’s Choir from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, bergenPAC’s Performing Arts School Voices, directed by teaching artist, Hannah Faye Zarate and a solo by Chavez Ravine. Santa is planning to visit and hot chocolate and cookies will be served. The Ceremony will begin at approximately 6:15pm outside of City Hall following the Nutcracker performance and will run for approximately 45 minutes.

Regards,

Mayor Frank Huttle III
