Mayor invites all Englewood residents and the general public to Christmas Tree lighting to take place on Saturday, December 3, 2011 outside City Hall and to join him at the New Jersey Ballet Nutcracker Performance at bergenPAC as his guest

In keeping with the other holiday events that have marked the season here in Englewood, Mayor Frank Huttle III is pleased to present the 2nd annual lighting of the Englewood City Christmas Tree. The ceremony will take place outside City Hall at 6:00pm on Saturday, December 3 immediately following the performance of the New Jersey Ballet Nutcracker performance at bergenPAC and will feature a performance by Mark A. Trautman and the St. Paul’s Choir from St. Paul’s Church in Englewood.

“I’m so pleased to have the honor of participating in the 2nd annual Tree lighting ceremony,” the Mayor stated. “This holiday season, I am grateful for the ability to again share this wonderful tradition with my fellow Englewood residents.”

In the spirit of giving, Mayor Frank Huttle will give away tickets to the New Jersey Ballet Nutcracker performance that precedes the tree lighting ceremony at bergenPAC at 4:00pm. The tickets will be given away just before the start of the 4:00pm show and residents interested in attending the performance are asked to RSVP in advance for tickets at frankhuttle@englewoodmayor.com.

“This tree lighting ceremony, along with the annual Menorah Lighting ceremony to be held December 20th, has become a great tradition that coincides with the holiday season. These two ceremonies stand to not only symbolize the joy and hope we all have during this time of year, but also to show the unity, diversity and greatness that is Englewood.”

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm outside of City Hall and will run for approximately 45 minutes. The annual Menorah Lighting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 5:30.
