Celebrating Independence Day
Performance by Englewood Idol Winner Angelique Byers!
I recently sent out an email and posted a general message on this website about the upcoming July 4th Fireworks show tonight, July 1st , which has become a tradition in our City. We all celebrate and mark Independence Day in our own way. We will undoubtedly celebrate together with family and mark the important day together as a nation. However, I believe that the Englewood July 4th Fireworks show, though entertaining and spectacular, serves a larger purpose. It allows us, the resident of Englewood, to come together and celebrate our independence and patriotic spirit as one community.
Many have worked very hard to bring together the resources necessary to accomplish this event. I thank our generous sponsors led by Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and joined by bergenPAC, Route 4 West Diner, Englewood Economic Development Corporation, Englewood One, Treeco Shoprite, North Jersey Community Bank, Nisi and Solaia restaurants, our City Manager, volunteers.
So, I would hope to see everyone there tonight! It will be a great beginning to what promises to be a smashing Fourth of July weekend.
Remember to come early tonight, the program will begin at 7.30PM on the front lawn of Dwight Morrow High School.
